Steve R Denton, a native of Portland, Oregon, has been fascinated by airplanes and science since he was young. After graduating from Reynolds High School in 1975, he embarked on a journey of service in the US Navy, where he trained as an in-flight technician on anti-submarine warfare airplanes. Following his service, he returned home and began his career at Tektronix, Inc., while studying electrical engineering at the University of Portland. Passionate about airplanes, Steve turned his attention to aviation after celebrating his 30th birthday. He found sheer delight in the poetry of physics in motion, leading him to become a skilled pilot and aviation technology teacher.
About Steve R Denton
Additionally, he discovered a writing talent and earned praise in an expository writing class during his college years.
Inspired by a girlfriend named Carol, who sought his advice for the aviation-related backdrop in her romance novel, Steve felt compelled to explore his writing potential further. Drawing from his scientific background, he found his true calling in science fiction as a genre.
Over the years, Steve authored several notable publications, including the BE-99 pre-ground school brief, describing his company’s comprehensive system for the Beech 99 series airplane. He also penned “Ice,” a meticulous study delving into the physics of supercooled water and ice accumulation on aircraft in flight.
In 2012, Steve published his book “The Enlightenment of Inferon,” though he admits to making mistakes, including the lack of editing and marketing organization. However, he has been diligently working on an extensive revision, set to be released after the first of 2024, now under the title “The Inferon Limit.” With the guidance of professionals, Steve is determined to present a polished and captivating narrative to his readers.
Steve is excitedly engaged in releasing his latest work, “Intercedence,” a contemporary, earth-based science fiction novel. The story unfolds as a frame narrative, with the first chapter intricately connected to the last, leaving readers with a tantalizing glimpse of what lies ahead and a thirst to discover the unfolding mysteries.
His insights for “Intercedence” are influenced by his belief that extraterrestrial beings who have mastered interstellar travel are beyond the confines of conquest and war. He envisions them as beings with a higher purpose, exemplified by an alien artist portrayed in his work.
As he plans the sequel to “Intercedence,” Steve remains dedicated to sharing his unique perspective on the creative process. He believes in a specific sequence of steps to transform a blank paper into a finished masterpiece, aspiring to inspire fellow writers on their journeys.
